Disability Pension

You may be eligible to retire before age 55 if you have been totally and permanently disabled for at least six months and meet certain other criteria. For more information, please refer to the Disability Pension section of the Pension Plan Booklet.

It is recommended that you contact the Administrator as soon as you become disabled.

Shortened Life Expectancy

If a physician has certified that you have an illness or disability that will shorten your life considerably, and you have not yet started your pension, you may withdraw your benefit in a lump sum or in a series of payments. If you are terminally ill, you may contact the Administrator for further details.
